VBA Open Meeting Minutes September 19, 2024

Membership: Rebecca announced that there will be a ribbon cutting for BeLoved Hair by Amy on October 5. Rebecca will purchase new ribbon that can be signed.

Elections: BoD elections to be held in November. We will send out email to all members for anyone interested in joining the board to submit written interest by October 12, and will post to Facebook. Officer reorganization will be done by Board of Directors at the November Annual meeting.

End of year party: To be held at Sia Center on 12/13 from 6-10pm. Food, drinks, karaoke, etc!

Gathering on Grant: Discussed pros and cons, possible changes to dates for 2025 from Thursday to Friday based on public feedback.

New Business: Lisa Dormire sent in a proposed plan for Small Business Saturday. This year would add in a cookie crawl with participating businesses.
